Enjoy a look at some of the art that concept artist, Dave Greco does. He’s based in the USA and has done work for Electronic Arts, and recently for Wizards of the Coast. I remember him mentioning on a old video how one of his goals was to one day do something for Magic The Gathering so I was excited to see him get to produce something at last for Strixhaven School Of Mages.
You can find prints by more MtG artists over at this First Friday Five post.
Cover of ImagineFX done by Dave Greco for the June 2020 issue. The piece is from a Draw This In Your Style challenge of a Cathpun character. You can see the process for the video below.
He has a bunch of really helpful tutorial-type videos up on his YouTube channel covering things like taking a greyscale sketch to colour, painting folds, blending, and designing characters.
Dave Greco’s digital art brushes
If you are interested to use the same brushes that Dave Greco does in your next art piece, you can find them available over on Gumroad here. They are for Photoshop but may also work in Procreate and Clip Studio. You can import ABR files there, but they might behave a little differently.
