There is so much. So much. I first started to look more into the art behind the game when I realized one of my favourite artists worked on it. Then I saw these character drawings and wallpapers on the website. Check out some of the illustrations and Guild Wars 2 concept art…
Character illustrations…
This look carries over into parts of the game as well such as the character selection screen.
On the GW2 Youtube Channel, you can find a few Q&A vids with some of the artists including Kekai Kotaki, who was the lead concept artist. You should check out his website while you’re at it and see his gallery of images for GW.
There’s also this video by ArenaNet concept artist, Matthew Barret, drawing a character from one of the races he designed, the Asura.
Environments…
More GW2 art?
There is so much more to see though, so head on over to the art blast post on Artstation, and then the Wiki where you can see more of the work and artists involved. You can also grab yourself a copy of The Art Of Guild Wars. The book features work from across the Guild Wars universe with “never-before-seen concept art, production material, and creator commentary”
Now, after overdosing on the art of the game, I think I need to make my late start with actually playing it.
Wondering what to check out next? How about this post with art from the Ghost Of Tsushima game.
If you are just making in your start in digital art, and looking for an affordable drawing tablet, check out this post.
